While building a violin we come up against lots of special shavings. Their form reminds us of the spiral of our instrument scrolls.

Step by step, one splint after the other, a piece of wood slowly but constantly turns into something unique.

Just like no splint resembles another and each scroll possesses its own personality, every instrument also has its own individual character and charm.

The scroll becomes a symbol of our work. It gives us awareness to keep leisure and accuracy on every step of procedure, despite the hectic rush of our time.

The beginning of the spiral is decisive for its final shape and design, as well as the formation of an instrument starts with the right choice of wood.

That is why the exact viewing of the piece of wood is of major importance to us. The first impressions we can get are to see and recognize optical growth markings, to feel and explore winter and summer rings of the wood with our sense of touch, to hear and discover sound and vibration characteristics.

Additionally to all the intuitive experiences we then evaluate measurable qualities, such as density, velocity of sound and stiffness rates. All this together makes the point of beginning of the road from the sounds imagination to the final result.
